Languedoc Property

Should you wish to buy or sell Languedoc Property for a permanent or holiday home or to make an investment in Languedoc property we at Fine French Homes are there to make the process as informed and as simple as possible. Thanks to over 50 years experience of real estate in the family we believe we understand our clients needs.

Here, the climate dominates along with the beautiful countryside. Fine French Homes specialise in only one French region, with our estate agency in the Languedoc Roussillon and in particular the Western Herault and Aude including Beziers, Pezenas, Lodeve, St Pons, and Narbonne down to the coast. So our knowledge has a solid base in the local market.

To sell or buy your Languedoc Property we can offer a whole range of services including marketing, assistance with legal processes, bank accounts, bank loans and utilities. We can advise on processes involved and are happy to do so to make your choice of property as easy as possible, even providing advise on rentals. Fine French Homes will guide you through the process involved.

To discover Languedoc Property it is best to understand the Languedoc itself. The region is best described as bordered to the south and east by the sparkling Mediterranean, to the south by the snow capped peaks of the Pyrenees whose peaks make a fantastic winter backdrop, a mix of Catalan and Occitan culture going back centuries and further still to the Greeks and Romans. Rolling hills and plains of vines with perched villages and the Canal du Midi are found in the centre, the backdrop of the Languedoc National Park and its peaks to the north and of course again the religious background of the turbulent history of the Cathars reflected in books and films such as the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and Labyrinth by Kate Moss. The coastal areas tend to be flat and occasionally interspersed with lagoons and sea lakes, often dotted with flamingos.

Many of these facets are celebrated throughout the region throughout the year, with fetes and festivals, a region proud to be French and yet proud of its history – a people who are hard working and full of independence and common sense yet in the true Mediterranean tradition in their way and their time.

Languedoc property is no longer cheap and covers a wide range (click on Property in Languedoc for types available at Property in Languedoc). However, it is still cheaper than that in Provence by enlarge and certainly the Cote D’Azur yet with the same climate, and is currently less developed.
